2nd Tuesday of each month, 10:00 am, Zoom Meetings

We are a mixed gender group, with widely varying financial expertise, who meet monthly (at present via Zoom) on the morning of the second Tuesday. In past years we have met from September to June.

Each month we share opinions on the issues affecting the financial markets and our personal investments. In October, we discussed when the current bear market might end, the possibility of a recession and the impact of the strong US dollar, among other matters. The conclusion? Small repositioning moves might be appropriate, but otherwise hang on tight! We occasionally have guest speakers to add a professional viewpoint.

As a group, we are developing an imaginary core portfolio, but a realistic one for people like us (i.e. in our 70’s, diversified by sectors, providing income and growth) which we will track. Additionally, each member of the group is encouraged to create a “fun” portfolio for next year, with assets that would not be appropriate for the core of one’s portfolio. Many of us have learned from attending past meetings e.g. the use of options to enhance income.
