The Glen Erin Inn and Spa <\/strong>\u00a0The menu offered a number of options with the chicken penne and fish and chips particularly enjoyed. Set in a historic urban setting amidst two acres of sprawling estate grounds in picturesque Sawmill Valley, the Inn has a fascinating history. Glenerin Hall was built in 1927 by a wealthy Toronto lawyer with the family spending their summers, Easter and Christmas there. The Glenerin Hall provided safe refuge for 90 children from England during World War II. The Glenerin Estate underwent extensive renovations and restorations and opened its doors as the Glenerin Inn in 1986. The Convivial Diners voted for their 2019 favourite restaurants.\u00a0 Piatto in Erindale Village was far and away the top and 1st choice. Piatto received the most votes and the most #1 or #2 rankings. Hibachi Teppanyaki & Bar in Oakville and Lone Star Texas Grill in Hyde Park Gate, Oakville were basically tied for 2nd place in ranking with Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar in Oakville in 3rd place. Snug Harbour Seafood Bar and Grill in Port Credit, Clarkson Mediterranean Bistro and The Olive Press in Oakville were in the middle of the pack for ranking.<\/span><\/p>\n

The chefs are well trained in handling their tools while cooking on the grill.
