The club is located on the site of the\u00a0Credit Mission also called\u00a0<\/strong>Credit Indian Village\u00a0<\/strong>built in 1826, for the Mississauga First Nation living at the Credit River under the direction of Peter Jones (Kahkewaquonaby) and Colonel James Givens, the Superintendent of Indian Affairs for the Government.
