The Glen Erin Inn and Spa  The menu offered a number of options with the chicken penne and fish and chips particularly enjoyed. Set in a historic urban setting amidst two acres of sprawling estate grounds in picturesque Sawmill Valley, the Inn has a fascinating history. Glenerin Hall was built in 1927 by a wealthy Toronto lawyer with the family spending their summers, Easter and Christmas there. The Glenerin Hall provided safe refuge for 90 children from England during World War II. The Convivial Diners voted for their 2019 favourite restaurants.  Piatto in Erindale Village was far and away the top and 1st choice. Piatto received the most votes and the most #1 or #2 rankings. Hibachi Teppanyaki & Bar in Oakville and Lone Star Texas Grill in Hyde Park Gate, Oakville were basically tied for 2nd place in ranking with Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar in Oakville in 3rd place. Snug Harbour Seafood Bar and Grill in Port Credit, Clarkson Mediterranean Bistro and The Olive Press in Oakville were in the middle of the pack for ranking.

Dundas Street Grille is a popular old school diner which has been in business since 1984. Recently renovated it is bright and airy with huge windows. Prices were very reasonable.

HIBACHI TEPPANYAKI & BAR  Teppanyaki is a style of Japanese Cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook meals right in front of you. The chefs are well trained in handling their tools while cooking on the grill. Most #1 votes: Aristotle’s Steak and Seafood House (Meadowvale) and Michael’s Back Door Restaurant (Clarkson Village).

Aristotle’s is a family operated restaurant that has been serving patrons for over twenty years in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.Parking is readily available. Mobility – There are a number of different levels in the restaurant which may pose a problem for wheelchair users. A private dining area that can accommodate up to twenty is available. The Breakwater Restaurant is located in the Waterside Inn, a boutique hotel overlooking Port Credit Harbour. Thyme Ristorante has been a popular Port Credit staple for many years. The restaurant is the winner of many awards for excellence. They offer authentic Italian and Thai dishes, many made fresh to order.  They have a private dining area for evening use.
